Aside from being a great friend, Pam is also a superb writer and author, teacher, and garden speaker. She spoke on a variety of topics during plant festivals we held when we were co-owners of New Garden Landscaping and Nursery in Greensboro and was always engaging, informative, and humorous. Her slide/powerpoint presentations are varied and always relevant to emerging gardening trends, and her photos are superb. More recently, Pam has spoken for the Guilford Horticultural Society, the North Carolina Nursery and Landscaping Association, and the Carolina Gardener Annual Symposium and Tour, and we consistently received great feedback on her presentations.

Pam gains an instant fan club wherever she speaks, and that coupled with her well-paced, well-studied, and beautifully photographed presentations make her a sure-fired bet for us to continue inviting her as a popular speaker at functions which we sponsor or with which we are involved. She is well-regarded and a leader in the Garden Writers Association and throughout the plant-loving world. Captivating an audience with plant lore, useful cultural and planting information, and humorous quips and tales is a rare art and skill.

She is also terrific as a garden guide and assisted us on our New England garden tour a few years back and always is the most requested bus captain on the Annual Garden Symposium and Tour which we now sponsor. Our endorsement of Pam is without hesitation and with great enthusiasm and sincere appreciation.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for all you did for us in Greenville this weekend. I have been involved in many symposiums and can honestly say I have never heard a better speaker. You have great voice, excellent presentation skills, professional but comfortably casual appearance, open and relaxed personality, stunning slides, and outstanding material. What more could we have asked for?

I’ve heard her speak many times. Before Carolina Gardener magazine changed hands, they did a series of seminars. Every year, they’d go to a different city and have tours & speakers. A lovely, highly-compressed weekend of gardening. Pam almost always was on the program. She’s a very good after-dinner speaker...She’s a lovely person, so approachable and so knowledgeable. She is very knowledgeable about what grows here in this area, in the Piedmont.

I have been to a couple of symposia where she’s been a leader of the tour and a very good speaker. Pam is very warm, and it’s not an academic talk at all. She talks more gardener-to-gardener, and she’s very generous with her knowledge. She’s a very likeable person, very easy to listen to.
